Altars of Desire: Erotica as Liberation is an intimate ritual art workshop for women (including trans women and anyone who identifies as a woman) who want to slow down, return to the body, and reconnect with desire as a source of power, creativity, and devotion.

Altars of Desire invites participants into a guided, embodied experience that reframes the erotic beyond sexuality or spectacle—toward life force, memory, ancestry, and self-sovereignty. Through gentle embodiment practices, guided meditation and writing, and hands-on altar building, participants will create a personal shrine devoted to what they long for and wish to cultivate in the year ahead. Each participant receives a pre-made altar structure with a candle holder and all materials needed to paint, draw, and assemble their altar, transforming it into an intimate object of reflection and ritual. This workshop is designed as a slow, thoughtful, and creative space—one that honors desire not as something external, but as an inner wisdom to return to again and again.
