Private Studio Viewing: A New Body of Work

Opening January 23

This January, I’m opening my studio for a private presentation of a completed body of work:
12 paintings and 12 altars, developed as a single, interconnected collection.

Rather than a traditional gallery opening, this presentation unfolds over two weeks — allowing the work to be experienced slowly, intimately, and in relationship to the space in which it was made.

The collection explores [you can later insert 1–2 core themes here: ancestry, ritual, transformation, cosmology, embodiment — keep it concise]. Each painting is paired with an altar, extending the imagery off the wall and into three-dimensional form. Together, they function less as individual objects and more as a living system.

Opening Night: Studio Talk + Viewing

January 23

The opening evening includes a studio talk, offering context into the process, symbolism, and questions guiding the work. This is not a lecture, but a conversational entry point — a way of orienting viewers to the language of the collection before spending time with it.

Wine and light refreshments will be served.

Private Viewings (January 24 – February 5)

Following the opening, the studio will be open for limited private viewings by RSVP. These quieter windows are designed for those who prefer to experience the work without crowds, and to spend extended time with the pieces.

This presentation is intended for:

  • collectors and curators

  • artists and cultural workers

  • those interested in ritual, image-making, and immersive visual language

The presentation culminates in a live performance activation on February 6, responding directly to the work.
